Installing the ACT D’MAND KONTROLS® Systems

Bluetooth Instructions Ver. 4 

IPhone/Android 

The ACT Inc. App allows you to sync, manage, and control several ACT Inc. Bluetooth wireless devices. It is critical that you do not work ahead and to execute all the instructions in an expedited manner. In some cases, it may require the user to repeat a step(s) to ensure success. Let’s get started!

 Your ACT, Inc. D’MAND CIRC® is programmable for your commercial plumbing application. The ACT, Inc. D’MAND CIRC® System is commonly installed on a return line and can be adjusted to adapt to many applications on the line which services hot water supply lines from ¾”- 4” in diameter. 

Warning: Can ONLY be used with pumps approved by Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) Standards with pumps up to 2HP and 25Amps.

for Standard recirculation lines on boiler systems 

 Your ACT, Inc. D’MAND CIRC® is programmable for your commercial plumbing application. The ACT, Inc. D’MAND CIRC® System is commonly installed on a return line and can be adjusted to adapt to many applications on the line which services hot water supply lines from ¾”- 4” in diameter.

Wireless Motion Sensor Round Beam

(WMSRB-BT) 

The Wireless Motion Sensor Round Beam, (WMSRB-BT) can be placed on a vertical or horizontal surface. The maximum detection range from the sensor is approximately 20 feet. 

When mounting on a ceiling, the mounted height cannot exceed 12 feet. Sensors can be mounted with either two sided tape or affixed to the surface with appropriate screws.

Bluetooth Repeater

(RPT-BT2) 

Bluetooth Repeater/Range Extender. This device will securely extend the range of the wireless Bluetooth devices up to 50’-70’. This unit is compatible with all other ACT D’MAND Kontrols® Systems Bluetooth devices (REC-BT, WT-BT and the WMSRB-BT). The RPT-BT2 operates on a common 110v power source and increases the range and vector of connected devices around obstructions. Up to five (5) Repeaters can be used with each REC-BT. Indoor use only.

HWMSRB-PW – Hardwired

Connecting D’MAND Kontrols® for 12 Volt* Motion Sensor 

Your ACT D’MAND Kontrols® System is equipped to use infrared motion sensors to interface with the user(s). These sensors may be placed throughout your residence to match your needs/applications. Wiring for these systems is simple and straightforward following the guidelines below.

D’MAND (Lighted or non-lighted) Kontrols® Buttons

Applicable for HWRS-LED or HWRS

Thank you for purchasing an ACT, Inc. D’MAND ® system with the “NEW” HWRS-LED D’MAND Kontrols® Button.

This HWRS-LED D’MAND Kontrols® button is designed to light up when the ACT, Inc. D’MAND Kontrols® system is activated and stays on until the pump turns off. This allows the user to observe the pump’s operation remotely.

We are separating and marking the two Buttons, the standard non-lighted Button (HWRS) and the “NEW” LED upgrade (HWRS-LED) so you can choose your placement.

Thank you for purchasing an ACT D’MAND Kontrols® System with the “NEW” Green LED

D’MAND Kontrols® Button. This Green LED D’MAND Kontrols® Button is designed to light up

when the ACT D’MAND Kontrols® System is activated and stays on until the pump turns off.

This allows the user to observe the pump’s operation remotely.

Your ACT, Inc. D’MAND KONTROLS® System may be fitted with an accessory bracket to secure it to a flat surface following these simple steps. 

Items needed: Model #MB-CS-SS-SM Mounting Bracket kit, 5/32” Allen wrench (not included) size #8 mounting screws (not included)

Installing the ACT D’MAND KONTROLS® Systems

Hot Stop Valve: External Valve Assembly 

(HSV) 

The new valve assembly is to supplement your existing Internal Flow Control (IFC) valve included in your ACT D’MAND Kontrols® pump. The use of the new valve is to prevent hot water from passing through the pump when the system is not in use when there is a high pressure difference on the cold water side.
